Urban Reads Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to disrupt literacy barriers and restore access to knowledge in the communities most impacted by systemic injustice. Our programs include the Black Star Line Literacy Bus, BookMark It!, book donations, community events, volunteering, and membership. We offer these programs and this website as a public benefit, and we may add, change, or end any program or feature at any time.
You agree to use our site and services only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects our mission, our staff, our volunteers, and the communities we serve. You agree not to interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, misuse any form, or use our services to harm others.
Donations and membership contributions support our programs.
